Blood Forever by Mari Mancusi
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
In the final installment of the Blood Coven series, Rayne and Sunny find themselves back at the beginning thanks to Rayne’s favor from Hades. Both girls swear to live normal lives lest they find themselves back where they were; Sunny dead and enjoying life in Hell, while Rayne is forced to live the rest of eternity as a confused, sad mix of Vampire//Slayer//Fairy Princess under the rule of Pyrus.
I loved nearly every aspect of this book. From the way it poked fun at pop culture {including my beloved Twilight}, to the girls nearly messing up the world again. I loved that they had to work to get Magnus and Jareth to fall in love with them again. I loved getting to know Spider FINALLY.
There were only a few things I didn’t like such as the zombies – give me bloodsuckers over brainsuckers any day, thanks – and the death of Lucifent this time around. And possibly the death of Bertha, but she may have deserved that.
But most of all I loved the ending, something I’d been rooting for for a long time. We may not have found out what happened to everyone else, but as long as the girls are happy, so am I.
